Kyra is a rising senior at Harvard University studying Government with a language citation in Mandarin Chinese, originally from Toronto, Canada. She spent this past summer interning at the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy, conducting research for Professor Tang Xiaoyang, resident scholar and deputy director of the Center, and the summer before studying intensive intermediate Chinese at the Harvard Beijing Academy. At school, Kyra was the Co-Chair of Harvard Undergraduate Political Consulting, a professional non-profit student organization providing pro-bono consulting work for both domestic and international campaigns and NGOs.

While her research interests are mainly centred on the impact of the rise of China on developing regions, as a Canadian, Kyra is acutely aware of the importance of US-China relations in global affairs and she is excited to learn more from her peers through this experience with the Journal.
